Veterans Can Defer State College Tuition in Pa
In Harrisburg the House Education Committee and the state Education Department agreed on a method allowing veterans to defer tuition payments at state colleges until after fall registration. State Education Secretary Pittenger ordered all state colleges to register veterans regardless of payment status. The plan aims to help veterans delay state aid due to budget delays and VA benefits timing, with a September vote planned on extending deferred payments to all state and community colleges.
