Hearing Set In Slaying Of Ex Corryite

A preliminary hearing is set for May 7 for Okey Boggs 8 RD 1 Edinboro on charges of murdering Orville Huff 32 of Edinboro. Huff was shot four times in the upper body at Boggs residence where police recovered a handgun believed to be the murder weapon. State police arranged the arraignment by District Justice Ronald Stuck of McKean County after the coroner Merle Wood reported the shooting.

Marines Court Martial In Death Of Pvt Lynn McClure

Three drill instructors and a captain at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot were ordered to face court martial over the death of Pvt Lynn McClure. Two other officers accepted non judicial punishment. Capt C V Taylor, former commander of the Special Training Branch, was among the highest ranking officers named. McClure, a 20 year old recruit from Texas, died after a padded combat exercise.
