County Judges To Meet On Tax Sales Policy
Erie April 29 Judge Elmer L Evans president judge Erie county courts called a policy meeting with Judge Burton R Laub and city and county property officials to set a uniform attitude toward disposing of tax delinquent real estate. The dispute stems from Laub’s refusal to approve a Southlands lot sale citing it may hurt taxpaying habits. Attendees include Byron Baur delinquent tax liquidator Michael Mosier head of the city property dept and Scott Way head of the county property dept. Evans said a rigid policy cannot be expected and the meeting will follow court sessions.
