A 10 year old girl, daughter of Donglan Hell of Mingo Junction, fell on the pavement in Steuberville on April 27. She died several hours later from injuries sustained in the accident.

President of Smith Paper Co killed by folding bed
Welling ton Smith of Lee Massachusetts, former Governor's council member and Smith Paper Company head, died when a folding bed collapsed in a Lenox apartment. A woman identified as Mrs Smith was present. investigation found the accident resulted from improper front brace adjustment. A doctor pronounced him dead at once. The other occupant and witnesses fled. the woman left the building shortly after.
Ketchel Langford 80 Round Fight Ends Without Decision
In Philadelphia on April 28 Stanley Ketchel and Sam Langford fought a six round bout to a draw with neither man knocked down. About 6,000 fans attended as points were debated, gate receipts neared $20,000 and Ketchel and Langford split purses of roughly $10,000 and $7,000 respectively. Spectators disagreed on the better man with many believing Langford won while others favored Ketchel.

Adultery Convictions In Middletown Four Months Each
In Middletown New Jersey on April 28 Mes Afimte Bucher and William M Reilly were found guilty of adultery after arrest by Bucher the husband. Each was sentenced to four months in the New York penitentiary. Mrs Bucher ran a boarding house at Atlante Highlands and later bought a hotel.

Collapse injures fourteen at New York theater lobby
