Ban 21 and Over: Karamoja Film at Colonial Theatre
District Attorney Damian McLaughlin announced that no one under 21 will be admitted to the Colonial Theatre showing of the documentary Karamoja. After consultation with Mayor Arthur Gardner, McLaughlin said he could pursue legal action to halt the screening though the State Board of Censors had approved it. Complaints cited the film as brutal and indecent and it was listed on the Catholic Legion of Decency condemned list.
