Wallace Mo Young of Corry was elected first president of the Northwestern Pennsylvania Past Masters and Line Officers Association of the Masonic fraternity. Officers named include Vice President Harold Ross of Warren and Secretary Wayne Haskell of North East. 65 members attended a meeting at the Masonic Temple. The group plans biannual meetings with the next session in the Fall at a later announced location.

Leon Besson died this morning shortly after 7 at the home of his son George Besson 117 West Degal ap Wenhington Street where he had lived the past ten years. He suffered from infirmity of old age. Born in Quebec on August 13, 1849, he is survived by two grandsons in Corry, two brothers and two sisters in Michigan, and several others.
