Corry District Plans Reading Support Amid Parent Pressure
A Corry Area School District meeting cooled parent protests by outlining 1973 74 plans. Superintendent Ray Elsen said the budget includes funds for an elementary guidance counsellor a speech therapist and a reading specialist. A reading center will be established at Wright School aligning with Concord's remedial reading program. The counsellor would direct severe readers to a psychologist ensuring targeted help. Elsen said the program is a starting step and updates would follow.
