Viet Nam army extends border buildup toward Cambodia
The South Vietnamese forces increase artillery and troops along hundreds of miles of the Cambodian border in a push into Cambodia to pursue North Vietnamese and Viet Cong units. Estimates place 40,000 to 50,000 enemy troops in eastern Cambodia as air strikes continue and Cambodian outposts withdraw. American advisers are not seen crossing into Cambodia, and no official cross-border agreement exists. Memorial Hospital and local contacts are listed in a separate notices section.
