One Schink of Dunkirk Goes Blind in City Plant Mishap
A Dunkirk veteran of the Fifth Marines who served in World War I reportedly went blind after an incident at the city electric light plant. Authorities believe the powerful lights near the plant caused the injury during the patient’s mask removal. The man later recovered some sight in the weeks that followed.
