Government urgently needs trained workers for wartime effort
Washington reports a nationwide call for thousands of trained workers across Army and Navy civilian divisions. Positions include mechanical engineers, metallurgists, inspectors, clerks, statisticians, accountants, stenographers, and aeronautical draftsmen. Civil Service Commission notes most will be rated from applications and experience, with salaries offered and work within the United States. Representatives at post offices provide information and application blanks.
