Supreme Court Decides Who Has Pike Seat
PHILADELPHIA AP The case to decide whether Egidio Cerilli or Lester Burlein holds a Turnpike Commission seat goes to the state Supreme Court. Burlein, 1963 appointee and chair, refuses to leave as Cerilli’s appointment by Gov. Shapp is challenged. Senate and House friction over 680 appointments, with adjournment battles, frames the contest.
