Mother Held Responsible In Childs Death

A five week old baby girl died of starvation, with the mother Eleanor Moke blamed for neglect under care of the county board. Coroner Stroble and Assistant District Attorney Laub ruled no blame on the board or Visiting Nurses. The milk supply was cut off after the mother failed to follow directions, as aid had been provided by the poor directors until two weeks prior. The husband could not travel to the directors, while relatives resided out of Evie county. The mother did not pursue aid, leading to the tragic outcome.
