A chaotic report describes a mistrial in a libel suit against Ford amid dire flood and disease threats. Refugees flood Mississippian towns, with thousands homeless and dozens dead as rivers rise.
Governor signs Acts authorizing the highway secretary to designate route numbers and simplify maps. He also approves a House bill cutting capital stock tax bonuses for Pennsylvania corporations while excluding foreign firms. Another measure imposes a $1,000 fine for deliberately blowing up property or vehicles, inspired by a western Pennsylvania paymaster incident.
A new timetable takes effect next Sunday affecting Renova and Allegheny divisions. Trains 8043 and 860 are absorbed by 880 and 860 while two locals between Kane and Erie are removed. Eastbound service shifts to the shorting flyer to Evia and the eastbound flyer absorbs the evening accommodation train. Mrs. L Williams aged os years wife of David Williams died at home in Spring Creek township this afternoon at six o'clock. Survived by husband and six sons Pred Williams Sugar Grove Pa Hudson Williams Falconer Edward Williams Garland Andrew Donald and Charlee Williams Spring Creek. Private services at the Tate house Saturday afternoon at four o clock with interment in Ping Grove cemetery.

Surviving passengers describe a brutal attack on a train bound for Mexico City. Eyewitnesses claim up to 100 may have died as raiders looted cars and set portions of the train on fire. Among the injured were Americans, British, and a German woman, with bandits led by El Parorro terrorizing the Carácas region during the incident.
