Old Virgil Tubbs sawmill on pine land and stump fences remembered

East Branch News recalls a historic lumber era in Spring Creek Township. The Kerr family once owned the mill site, later moved houses, and pine stump fences remained a striking feature. Virgil Tubbs, born on the farm, still lives there.
