Honduran revolt spurs U.S. warships and forest fires roar

Alfonso to Meet Bankers After Paris Stay

Paris Apr 20 Former King Alfonso of Spain will leave Paris at noon Tuesday for London to confer with bankers at the Hotel Meurice where the royal family is living. He will return to rejoin the queen in Paris later. The municipal president said no effort would be made to persuade him to stay and no restrictions beyond those for political exiles would be imposed.

Serious Woods Fire Near Spar tansomberg Area

A large woods fire reported between Spartansburg and Tucker's Corners northeast of Spartansburg burned a substantial area by Sunday morning. Residents said the blaze was under control later Sunday but kept under watch to prevent further spread as no nearby farms faced immediate danger.

Trusties Fight Fire and Forget Escape on Michigan Farm

Mic Jackson reports a fire at one of Michigan state prison farms near Jackson. Prison officials say inmates fought the blaze for three hours, no escape attempt occurred.
