Mrs. Dale Webster's elementary art class welcomed a student teacher Molly Clark from Edinboro State College to lead pottery making this week. The activity drew smiles and messy hands as students explored clay, while Mrs. Webster supervised and Steve Pilz created a piece his mom may like, despite the inevitable cleanup.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars protests the Veterans Administration for not meeting the congressional mandate to keep the average daily patient load at 85,500 in VA hospitals while proposing 80,000 beds. The VFW says many veterans are rejected after applying for admission and asks for details on any veteran denied care who died or was treated elsewhere. They request such information be sent to the Corry VFW service officer with veteran name and ailment if known.
Larry DeLon Casey, 21, said he did not know the victims after allegedly driving a car through the Willowhend addition and firing a .22 rifle, killing Beulah Davis 86 Jana Whatley 10 and Claire Jakubowski 5 and wounding two others. He admitted robbery at a drive in store and blamed the Wednesday killings on a fight with his girlfriend beer and marijuana and his father’s murder. Theron, a Newark chemical controller, was killed in New York City in June 1970.
