Warren plans in gas rate case to be decided soon
The borough council expects a May decision on whether Warren will contest a proposed rate increase by the Pennsylvania Gas Company. Attorneys in Harrisburg say a 40 to 75 cent per 1000 cubic feet rise is possible, and the company will file with the Public Service Commission within two weeks. Local officials anticipate a filing approval and allow thirty days for oppositions. Phillip J. Warber of Erie visited the city yesterday.

Sub-station Planned at Union City by Von Ange Power
Union City April 18 The Von Ange Power and Improvement Company bought four acres of land from Tracy Dick for a large substation. Located beyond the Pratt farm near West High street extension, it will be used to verify and supply low voltage service to farms and dwellings in the surrounding community. The four acre plot will house the power plant and soon after completion more substations are planned.
