Two men and a woman sought after Pasquale Micale, a Tep room operator on Highway 219, reports say he was swindled of six thousand dollars in a confidence trick. The trio, identified only by first names Albert, Mary and Pete, lured him with a Canada lumber deal then vanished with the money. Police say Micale withdrew funds to pursue the deal but cannot locate the suspects or the cash.

Frank T. England freight agent said twenty tons of maple syrup were shipped yesterday from this district to St Johnsbury Vermont for special treatment and labeling as Vermont syrup. The district's producers from Clymer Wattsburg Carter AIM Titusville Spartansburg and nearby areas contributed. Another 35 000 pounds will go tomorrow and a similar amount next week. Yield this spring was slightly below last year due to deep snow hindering sap access. Sap grades varied with mostly high grade syrup, priced at 7 8 and 9 cents per pound.

Fugitives Recaptured Near Little Valley Prison Break
Fugitives Girton Arthurs Vencel Evans and John Shaw aged 32,35,28 escaped Little Valley prison at 6:40 p m Wednesday night and wandered seven miles through woods.
