Man Killed Attempting Roadhouse Robbery
In Johnsonburg a would be highwayman, George Berger, was killed after breaking into the Roadhouse along the BPigh Road north of town. Employee Gust Baum shot Berger in the abdomen after a struggle. Berger later died in Elk County General Hospital. Ernest L. Bull, 29, of Erie Avenue, Johnsonburg, held as material witness and alleged accomplice. Tage Blunt, arrested later, posted bond and released. Police investigate with state troopers and local officials.
