Corry Area School District Budget Passed After Debate
Corry Area School District directors approved the 1975-76 budget totaling just over 4.3 million dollars despite an effort by two directors to cut 20 thousand from the capital reserve. The board set millage at 23, issuing a net four mills increase via assessment changes, while two mills come from the actual rate. Critics argued to preserve a 40 thousand dollar annual reserve. proponents said delaying could cost taxpayers more later. Public inspection is available at the administration office on East South Street.
