Palm Sunday Services Fill Local Churches

Palm Sunday services drew large crowds as Passion Week opened with church programs and music. Three Women Die in Route 18 Crash Near Greenville

State Police report a southbound car departed Meadville for Greenville left the highway on Route 18 six miles north of Greenville. Three women from Menaville Leona Varadato 33 Beatrice Kays Harrison 34 and Bonnie Lee Kays 22 were thrown from the vehicle. Kays died instantly from a fractured skull while the others died later at Greenville Hospital. Driver Tymnstowne crashed while approaching the scene and could not stop.
