Member Of Sugar Gang Enters Plea
William Wallace, 50, former Meadville restaurant operator now in Crawford county jail, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to cheat by fraudulent pretenses in a sugar-racket case. Bail reduced from 3,000 to 1,000. to be sentenced May 26. Wallace was previously bailed in Allegheny county on a similar charge.

About 1,600 Jamestown residents filled the High School auditorium for the first annual Parade of Quartets presented by the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing In America.
