The Hammermill Paper Co. in Erie began a five million dollar expansion, to be finished within a year. Ground was broken for bleaching and pulping plants to use Pennsylvania and Canadian pulp wood. The neutra-cell pulping process should be operational by mid 1966. Rogers Structural Steel Co. of Corry holds a major subcontract for the expansion.
