Franklin and Oil City Study 86000 Reassessment Plan
Franklin and Oil City officials and Venango County commissioners discussed a property reassessment program projected to cost 86000 at a Wednesday meeting. The session also considered an industrial site survey and formation of a Venango County development group with a request for 6000 county funds to unlock 6900 in state matching funds. Commissioners urged resolutions by political subdivisions representing half the population before funds could be used. Two of three commissioners showed openness to the plan. Meanwhile a steel beam fatality occurred at Allegheny Ludlum’s Brackenridge plant near Pittsburgh.
