Fence Breaks and Horses Flee Spark Suit in Erie County
Mill Village farmer John A. May sues neighbors Michael Melnick and Jerry Hanlin in Erie County court seeking 400 dollars plus interest for injuries to six horses. He alleges a shared fence was poorly maintained, leading to horses straying Sept 30, 1961, Melnick pursuing on foot and by car, and Hanlin driving a convertible that struck a horse, which had to be killed.
