Clifford Dundon dies from injuries after a head on collision on Route 6. His wife Mrs. Clifford Dundon is reported in critical condition at Corry Memorial Hospital. The couple lived on Mead Avenue. Dundon died about 2 12 this morning, an hour after admission.
Two men, W. W. Waterhouse and J. Fred Kinley, found victims after a fatal crash near Cory. They lifted injured occupants from a mangled 1955 Chevrolet as ambulances and police arrived. Driver Frederick Davis escaped injury. investigation continues.
Howard King, 46, of Corry Route 3, was injured when a Clark-Ross high lift truck tipped over on Route 11 near Union City. Police said the vehicle, a large wood handling truck with a rear steering wheel, lost control while descending a hill. He was taken to Stem Memorial Hospital with possible head injuries.
M Currin of Lopiseille died yesterday as a director and articer with Brown and Willameon company for more than three decades. He served as a firm official and contributed to its leadership and operations during his long tenure.
A gasoline transport truck collided with a passenger train at a crossing in Fort Green Florida killing two men. One passenger from Hamp ton Ona Fla sustained minor burns. Drivers and conductors suffered serious injuries and were hospitalized in Wauchula.
In Ceylon a three day general election produced a People's United Front coalition led by Solomon Bandaranaike with a stronger Left presence. The result pleased India and Nehru era neutralist policies, while Western hopes to pull Ceylon into SEATO defense networks faltered as Bandaranaike opposed Britain’s role in the Trincomalee base and sought independent policy shifts.
Williams was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of 9 year old Cub Scout Davie Powell. Judge David A. McKee of the county court issued the sentence after a defense motion for a new trial failed. Williams was convicted of first degree murder with a mercy recommendation.
Mrs. Howard Goodwill of 31545 South Center Street clipped the left rear fender of a parked car owned by Mrs. C. L. Mertz on East Smith Street yesterday. Damage to the parked car $65 and to Mrs. Goodwill's vehicle about $90. No injuries were reported.
Official figures show Erie County registered voters at 98,970 for the April 24 primary. Republicans lead with about 49,570 registrants to 44,610 Democrats and 790 other, a margin of 4,070. In the city of Erie, total registrations are 55,047 where Democrats lead 31,100 to GOP 22,? with 492 misc.
Dag Hammarskjold met Egyptian Premier Gamal Abdel Nasser in Cairo as first moves toward calming Israel Arab tensions. A Jerusalem dispatch cited easing violence with two minor attacks. Burns planned talks with Israel and Arab leaders to press cease fire. The United States pledged support to oppose aggression in the region.
The 23rd Bloodmobile visit yielded 87 pints of blood, with 66 donors scheduled and 5 viable donors. Eight were rejected, 10 no-show, and 40 walked in, while total collections to date reach 2 543 pints.

Four year old Bradley Jimmy from Spartanburg and his five year old brother were playing with a newly acquired ox when the younger boy’s left hand finger was accidentally severed while holding wood for the older boy to cut. Bradley was admitted to Corry Memorial Hospital in good condition after the incident yesterday.
A coroner's jury at North Warren State Hospital ruled two deaths a result of self harm and one death by strangulation. Harold A Look and fiance Bertha A Invint were found dead in separate rooms after planning a marriage that ended violently. The verdict cites Look's suicide at about January 24 1980 in Pleasant Township and Mrs Bertha A Tivins death by strangulation at the hospital around January 20 1968. Additional testimony included hospital staff and local officials.
Six young Marine recruits drowned during a forced night march at Parris Island. The bodies were recovered and will lie in state in Beaufort before shipment home. A court of inquiry, ordered by the Marine commandant, continues its closed investigation into the disaster and possible actions against officers.
Cole, 29, at Rockview Prison, sought a writ of habeas corpus to halt his execution for the murder of Pearline Williams, 40. He pleaded guilty and claimed unfair treatment, stating he would only plead guilty if convinced of Hive in a case tied to Allegheny County’s 43 year murder record.
