George Lockwood, 46, of Union City, was killed near the Pennsylvania Rail Yard passenger station when struck by a westbound freight train while en route home on Graves Street. The painter and Union City resident left for home shortly before 1 am and was found five hours later beside the rails by railroad employee James Layden. Deputy Coroner Arthur Crowe conducts the inquiry. Lockwood leaves a wife and four children.
