Washington County commissioners approved a 50000 special account for former United Mine Workers President W A Boyle’s new trial. The funds will be sent to Delaware County, the likely site for the trial, with estimated costs potentially reaching 200000. Boyle faces charges in the 1969 killings of Joseph Yablonski and his wife and daughter. The case was moved to Delaware County where he was previously sentenced to life terms in 1974. The Supreme Court ordered a new trial in January. Boyle, 75, is free on 250000 bond. No motions to relocate have been filed.
