Garage Fire Destroys Clymer Structure and Damages Car
A two story frame garage owned by Marion Gallup on North Center street in Clymer burned Monday afternoon around 4.00. The blaze spread to Albert Kearns’s automobile parked in front of the building, causing heavy damage before control. A lawn mower, boat motor and cedar furniture on the second floor were lost. Senate Bills On Back Taxes Ten Get Action
In Harrisburg on Sunday lawmakers moved to advance bills to ease back taxes for 1940 and prior years. The measure would let municipalities apply abatements with 10 percent or more yearly payments over four years and the balance in year five, with penalties voided if deadlines are met.
