Sharp report says U S raids may have eased North Vietnam war
The Sharp report argues that U S air and naval raids on North Vietnam from 1964 to 1963 may have reduced enemy support in the South and helped sustain U S resolve. It notes restrictions limited campaigns and that without the raids the war cost could have been higher. The narrative links the raids to strategic aims and public safety logistics.
