City officers investigated a neighbor with an air rifle after holes appeared in windows on Spring street. In separate incidents, Vernon Church car at 409 East South street and Paul R. Tinko of Corry were damaged on North Center street, with Tinko’s loss at $5 and Church’s at $40.

Corry High School to perform in district orchestra concert

The Western association of non congregational Christian Churches of Pennsylvania met at Community Church in Columbus on Monday and Tuesday with ten ministers twenty delegates and twenty guests at each business session. Contractor Bids Up Price By Self At County Sale
Erie contractor Louis J. Nardo bid himself up to 3800 at a county sale of 111 lots on upper Poplar street, without opposition, hoping rival Baldwin would redeem within 10 days and pay a 10 percent premium. The lone prior bid by J Robert Baldwin stood at 2975. City assessment totaled 9620 with back taxes over 4000. Nardo kept bidding to spur competition, then revealed his motive.

Corry Ministerial Association elects delegates for national meeting
The Corry Ministerial Association held a Monday meeting with Rev. Dr. John Michell speaking on the World Council of Churches to meet in Evanston this summer. The closing business elected delegates to represent the association at the national meeting in New Haven, Conn., June 23 to 30, with Rev. B. T. Lines named as a host pastor among those selected.
