Legislature considers double compensation for minor workers
Pennsylvania lawmakers move Mansfield and Parkinson bills through the General Assembly. The Mansfield measure would require double compensation for minors under 18 injured while illegally employed, while the Parkinson bill would shift land-damage costs for state highway work to the state. The session plans an early adjournment push amid broader debates on taxes, pensions, municipal ownership, and education policy.
