Trail murder suspect to Ripley New York

Chief Pavik and Olscar More itt pursued Penny alias Cramer over a double murder case near Wimira, with a photograph circulated and fourteen regional residents identified the suspect. Ripley authorities had earlier learned of the suspect’s movements toward the Syore and French Crook areas.

Corry residents were surprised by a Cleveland paper's note from Conneaut Ohio stating Ray Middaugh 27 of Albion Pa was arrested by postal inspectors as the alleged author of blackmail letters to Mrs Minnie Welser of Corry. The letters demanded $200 or damaging disclosures. Edward Witzgerald of Corry, previously arrested, provided the information leading to Middaugh’s arrest. Middaugh was taken to Cleveland for processing.
