Probe Crash Death Of Area Youth

A Warren area youth died after a fatal crash on Babylon Hill near Tidionte last Monday night. Jack Anderson 15 suffered an fractured skull and concussion while in Warren General Hospital. Four injured in the incident include Leland Shorts 25 of Warren and Robert Anderson of Kane. Esther Marie Johnson 19 of Tidinste remained in critical condition. Colonel Ma Lowrey began an investigation as Chief Dalton Hunter reported observing the Shorts car before the collision. The wreck damaged Edna Benner’s house and the 1956 Dialge was demolished.

Father Shoots Infant. Man Charged After Attack

MOSCOW AP The Soviet Union charged that the United States deliberately violated altitude regulations in the West Berlin air corridor to wreck East West talks. U S officials in Washington in Germany disputed the claim saying no ceiling exists over the Berlin route and that aircraft may fly at any altitude for ferrying supplies. The embassy in Moscow issued a diplomatic note amid protests over a March 27 Berlin flight being buzzed by Soviet fighters.

Four Alarm Fireweekend Fells Busy for City Firemen

Fire crews battled four fires over the weekend, two Saturday and two Sunday, with ten to fifteen firefighters responding to each call. Drivers Escape Injury In Route 79 Crash

Two car collision on Route 79 two miles west of Spartansburg yesterday afternoon left drivers Carl Henley and Ray Stutman uninjured. Henley, 34, of Corry, turned left into a secondary road when his car was struck on the left side by Stutman’s vehicle. Stutman had left the scene but is due at the local substation this afternoon to give his account. Damage to Henley’s car estimated at about $75.

Four Spend 16/2 Hours In Cave

In Dulany's Cave four Greene County youths endured a harrowing167 hours before a search party found them early today. They were cold but unharmed. The four separated from Bill Snodgrass and ee Roberts, both Waynesburg, about free tears after entering the cave yesterday afternoon. Snodgrass and Roberts exited around 6 p.m. and alerted State Police and Hopwood volunteers. The search found John Case Larry Dukile and Charles Kenny all Waynesburg and Jim Hoye Spraggtown in a dead end section of the mile long cave.

Erie Train Strikes Runaway Rim Delays Passenger Service

A westbound Erie Railroad passenger train struck a runaway rim from a tractor trailer near Corry in heavy rain, delaying service to Meadville.
