Yanks Freed After Term In Cuba Jail

Two American travelers Linden Blue and Don Swenson were arrested in Cuba and released after twelve days. They reached Miami puzzled by their detention, saying they were ordered to land near Havana after air control claimed clearance but then held over the city. County FFA Dinner Attracts Seventy Three Attendees

Seventy three people from seven schools gathered at Corry Area High School cafeteria for the annual County Future Farmers of America banquet. Richard Farrer, CAHS agriculture instructor, noted guest speaker Dewey Wagner, president of the state PFA, and Jen Adams Jr of Corry was installed as county treasurer, with Howard Miller also from Corry serving in the event. Schools represented included Port LeBoeuf, Harborcreek, General McLane, Union City, North East and Wattsburg.

Key Property Facelifting To Centennial

The City Beautification Committee of the Chamber of Commerce met for the second session of the year to promote property beautification ahead of the July centennial week. Chair E. W.
