Kent of Wattsburg lost control on Columbus Heuverdam highway, car rolled over, damage 1000 dollars. Albert J Bunting of East Pleasant Street Whit Lire west- Wird a car went off highway flipped then rammed a pole, damage 500 dollars. Clyde Pranco Jr of Union City struck a wire across pavement after Buntings vehicle hit the pole, damage 500 dollars.
Charles R. Buxbee 24 of Hare Creek road Corry is named county probation officer trainee working under Edmund Thomas probation chief Buxbee served with the Army Counter Intelligence Corps and returned to Corry last December to join the county probation staff on Monday.
Greensburg Po Glen Hill College may become the nation’s first women’s college to have a helicopter landing station. Arrangements were completed with Milter Aviation of Pittsburgh to use a property for a heliport serving passengers. Construction expected to begin within days for local access.
English, Beck’s top lieutenant in the Teamsters, opposed Beck on key spending. He refused to fund Beck’s home and criticized a $4 million union public program. English insists he will not provide information to the Senate Rackets Committee.

Robert T. Davis, 29, of Pittsbutch, held for court on murder charge for slaying Mrs. Emhy Poster, a Leechsburg housewife, in front of her home. Davis pleaded innocent at hearing before Justice Earl M. Watt. State Police set James Barger testified Davis gave police a written confession. Davis did not testify.
An early report details a single vehicle rollover on the highway after leaving the worksite. The car traveled about 200 feet along the berm before rolling. Lindquist sustained a slight injury to the right leg while the driver’s vehicle incurred a total loss. The incident is under investigation by authorities known as Sluts Palive.
Military officials today said the United States has no plan to replace British forces as London moves to cut defense spending. Britain aims to reduce armed forces from 690000 to 375000 within five years, saving about 600 million dollars in 1967 58. The plan keeps a UK contingent in West Germany and a liaison at UN Command, with substantial garrisons in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, and maintains NATO SEATO and Baghdad Pact links.

A makeshift gasoline bomb exploded inside a South Central Los Angeles bar after three men, ejected earlier, doused floors and lit a flare. Six people died at the scene and five more were injured as flames engulfed the Mecca bar on a quiet street. A bartender and patrons fled or perished amid charred booths and a shattered front.
Creation of the Steel Age Foundation, a non profit corporation, was started yesterday with filing of papers for incorporation at the Erie County courthouse. Initial directors include David A. Hillstrom as chairman and president, D Armour Hillstrom as general manager, and C A Hillstrom as secretary treasurer. The foundation aims to receive charitable contributions from Corry Jamestown Mfg Corp and disburse funds for welfare projects benefiting Corry Jamestown employees and the wider community when conditions permit.

Four trainmen from Greensburg and nearby towns were arrested in the January theft of four rifles from a Pitcairn Yarns boxcar. The group identified includes Ralph W. Myers, Jot W. Packe, an engineer, and Ray P. Freeman, conductor, all tied to richland and New Blanton areas.

A common pleas court in Erie County yesterday heard a suit over the death of Clifford J. Dundon of 328 Mead Avenue Narried. Defendant F. O. Davis of RD 4 Revo and the Erie Trucking Co. Davis drove the car that collided with Dundon’s car near Cory on Route 6. Dundon died April 10, 1958 at Gorry Memorial Hospital. his wife was seriously injured and hospitalized for months. Walter Dundon, administrator for the estate, filed the damages action.
A man was struck and killed at night by two hit and run drivers in New York. Police say the first car slowed, while the second stopped briefly, and the driver cried "it was live thy faulty" before fleeing the scene.
Washington Postmaster General Summerfield seeks 47 million dollars to maintain current mail operations for three months, warning of drastic service cuts without funds. A House subcommittee endorsed 17 million, and Summerfield urged urgent action to prevent service damage. He warned of halting Saturday deliveries and reducing city and business mail if money fails to arrive. In Pittsburgh, Mary Paring, 68, died after a hip fracture, eight days post-injury.
