Public to vote on daylight saving time proposal
Corry City Council hears a request to shift to daylight saving time this summer. An informal ballot will be published in the Journal on Wednesday April 13. A legal opinion notes state law forbids official adoption of nonstandard time, yet merchants and workers support the extra daylight for gardening and recreation. The matter is to be informally polled by the council with possible guidance from municipal executives.
