The RL Rev. John Chamberlain Ward Episcopal bishop of Fre will retire on June 1 after 22 years in the local diocese. Consecrated Sept. 2, 1921, in Buffalo, he succeeded Rt. Rev. Rogers Israel. His retirement will not be marked by a ceremony and no future plans have been announced.
