Chautauqua School of Music Opens July Season
Chautauqua Institution announces a seven week music school session July 5 to August 20 directed by Dr. Evan Whallon in his 15th year with the Columbus Symphony and on the Ohio State University faculty. The faculty includes Josephine Antoine and others. Scholarships are available.

Erie youth Robert Neal Bede, 19, was arrested by Det. Sgt. Rita Woolis and charged with fraud for forging a letter from the U S Army claiming a medical need for a drug. He was jailed in Erie County and faces a preliminary hearing before Justice Larry R Fabrizi. Several doctors were reportedly duped by the ruse.

Members and guests of the Corry Bridge Association met at the Corry Motor Inn for an open pair session. National Secretaries Week has been observed since 1952 with Secretaries Day on a Wednesday. This year the week starts April 18 and Secretaries Day falls on April 21. Russell L. Bowersox of General Electric Transit Systems will speak at the Presque Isle Chapter banquet at East Erie Turners.
