Smith PF W Woodruff W M Wright M E Patterson and Fred W Colvin. The group praised the program and urged broader attendance and use of the camp facilities for an ideal outdoor vacation. Another committee meeting is scheduled for tomorrow evening.
Wesley Green secretary of the state horticultural society reports from Des Moines dated June 3 that the fruit outlook is discouraging with less than five percent of a crop for all tree fruits. Grapes and raspberries show potential, while duckberries and strawberries may be hurt if weather remains unfavorable. Orchards across the state face unprecedented losses this spring due to unseasonable weather, a pattern mirrored across the Upper Mississippi Valley.
Commander John Jorner announces the annual encampment of the Northwest Town Veterans' association will be held in Correctionville on July 19 20 and 21. The program is being prepared with many attractions and fine speaking promised. Encampments usually attract thousands of visitors and planners expect a great meeting.
