Wedding interrupted as groom collapses during vows
A wedding at the Conklin home near Ames was halted when groom George Dempster fainted just before the ceremony. The bride Ruth Conklin and guests were upset but the groom recovered and left for treatment. the ceremony was postponed. Dempster, 25, Wisconsin native, works with County Engineer Wivlor and is from Aberdeen. Parents Mr and Mrs GC H Conklin express sympathy as the community sends support. Relatives Thad Cobb and Gertha Meconklin attended.
