Frederic D Wood Gaye Delivers Substituted Lecture
The second lecture of the course at the opera house featured Frederic Dale Wood substituting for the late Harold Kessinger who died of typhoid in Springfield. Wood, a New York lawyer, spoke on Beacon Lights to praise Kessinger’s strong oration. The next event is a concert by the Oxford Company. Burning Bush Lodge No. 474 A. F. & A.M. honored Fred W. Colvin with a banquet, praising his public spirit. The gathering included cigars, oyster stew, and remarks from W. F. Woodraf, W. J. Garber, G. H. Burris, and KB. Woodruff. Colvin expressed gratitude and hinted he will move to Fremont to lead a new party unit.
