Supt M D Smith of this piee will give six lectures at the Hamilton county teachers institute in Webster City next week Hewil stated his scholaret school work at Sioux City the week.
Correctionville chautauqua plans are completed for August 18 to 25. The Commercial club backs a high quality program with Kenyon slated to speak, booster efforts continue, and booklets have been mailed for attendees.
The Rock Branch area reports visitors and residents traveling through, with names such as Hufanan, Weed, Miss Elizabeth Jones, Mrs. Herbold, and A Frazier listed among attendees. A soap show drew a full crowd during a Saturday evening contest for the most popular young woman, won by Miss Jones. Also noted: injuries from a horse incident near Lou Herbold and a broken ankle for A Mathers, plus various visits to Sioux City and Park Row.
