Inspector Calls opens Coronado Players season in Coronado

Last Wednesday night the Coronado Players staged J. B. Priestley’s Inspector Calls with the Coronado Woman's Club as co hosts. A lively night followed with guests in festive costumes, coffee and cookies after the first act, and high praise for the production.

Crown Club Barn Dance Planned at Local Auditorium

Soroptimists Celebrate Founders Month at Coronado Buffet

Soroptimist International members held a Crown Room buffet at the Hotel del Coronado to honor Founders Month and mark the Coronado club's first anniversary. Emily Zeigler and Hithel Gill organized the event with guests from San Diego La Jolla and Oceanside clubs. Entertainment included pianist Alfrieda Farmer hypnotism demonstration by Dr D B Chatterton and a monologue by Charlie Holder. Four new members Claudia Wellington Lee Rose Margaret Todd and Evelyn Blair were initiated. On Sunday the group joined Business and Professional Women for a Halloween festival at the Recreation Center.

Some 400 delegates from women's clubs across California gather today at Hotel del Coronado. Mrs. Merle Francois, president of the Coronado Women's Club, will greet attendees this afternoon. Tomorrow the Hostess Committee led by Mrs. Robert Davis will oversee daytime events and the banquet.

Catholic Daughters Plan Benefit Dance for Scholarship

Final plans for the fourth annual Catholic Daughters benefit dance were approved at Mrs. James Caterina's home.
