Coronado Chamber of Commerce Moves to Crown Circle Office
The Coronado Chamber of Commerce will relocate to new offices in Crown Circle on C Avenue this weekend after months of negotiations. Previously housed at 1370 Orange Avenue with N Gardner & Co, the chamber plans a visitor sign at 10th Street and Orange. Fireworks plans for July 4 include a city display, a central band, and a 9 to 9 40 p m start, with hot dogs sold by a chamber committee led by Charles Free. Membership pledges total 135, with calls for more from merchants. The board also discussed tightening auction sales and peddlers licenses to protect established businesses and update the laws.

Yacht clubs toast at Crown Cove cruise party
More than 175 members from the Coronado, San Diego and Southwest Yacht clubs joined a two day cruise to Crown Cove. The event was voted the most successful party ever held there with thirty boats spending the night and many skippers and guests sleeping on board or around a bonfire.

Public Hearing On Ferry Rate Increase Postponed
City officials announce the postponed public hearing on ferry rate increases to July 8 at 9 30 a m. City Manager Howard Fuller and City Attorney J R Goodbody will represent Coronado to oppose the San Diego and Coronado Ferry Company proposal.
