W. T. Vandiver director of recreation attended a meeting in Los Angeles of the Southern Division of the California Recreation Executives Association. Lifeguards will staff north beach daily with public use limited to safety. last week two rip tide rescues occurred along with two foot cuts and two stingray stings. A Seattle visitor, 19 year old Virginia Saunders, was stung but advised on treatment and reassured of survival.
