The Corona city board awarded Highway Construction Company of Redlands the Grand Boulevard paving and drainage project including six foot sidewalks and curb work. The project funds will be raised by ten year serial bonds at seven percent interest with annual principal payments starting January 2 next year.
Notice is given of a stockholders meeting for Corona Home Telephone and Telegraph Company to consider increasing capital stock from 25 000 to 90 000. A September 1908 meeting of the Board levied a ten dollar per share assessment on subscribed capital stock, excluding company-owned stock, payable to the Secretary in Corona Riverside County California. Delinquent shares after October 1, 1908 will be advertised for sale. unless paid before November 1, 1908 the shares may be sold at three o'clock p m at the company's office to cover the delinquent assessment and advertising costs.
