Indiana Town Burned. 500 Homeless in Etna Green Fire

Etna Green, a town ten miles west of Warsaw, was struck by lightning that set a railway depot ablaze. The fire spread through the hamlet, destroying nearly all structures despite a heavy rainstorm. Damage was estimated at $150,000.

Mrs. Wightman Laid At Rest In Local Cemetery

Mrs John Wightman was laid to rest in Sunnyslope cemetery after a Monday afternoon funeral from Commercial street. Rev J W Utter officiated with a Baptist choir as music. She died from heart trouble after a short illness and travel to Redondo Beach for relief. Survived by husband and five children, she was 40, born in Edinburgh and long resident of Corona.
