Orange Heights Association Annual Meeting Report Highlights

The Orange Heights Fruit Association held its regular annual meeting at the association house with a 90 member family turnout. President J. H. Moore chaired the session as 98 percent of stock was represented, and Manager F. H. Roberts reported 60 182 boxes of lemons and 103 198 boxes of oranges shipped, yielding 340 745 55 in platform revenue and rebates to growers plus a 6339 77 orange packing fund balance. Audited by Key Brothers the books were found correct and in excellent condition.

Keep Faith With Red Man Plea Before Interior Chief

A 14 000 non resident Indians in California seek from Secretary of the Interior Franklin K Lane in Los Angeles a pledge that the government honor treaties and provide education and property rights. A special committee of the Indian Board of Co operation argues treaties signed 1856 covered five and a half million acres and schools, but were not ratified or fully honored. The letter calls for federal state and county cooperation to build schools and fund tuition for non taxpayers, signed by Rev F G Gallett Hyatt and J W Henderson. The board is led by Chancellor Jordan of Stanford University.

Mexican Attacks Result in $50 Fine and 90 Days
