Burglars Active in Corona Target Local Businesses
Burglars visited the Del Rey hotel the Independent Office and several residences in Corona. They forced entry at the post office using chisels stolen from Toward Patrick’s tool chest on Eighth Street, stole about 580 dollars and 60 postage stamps from a desk at the Independent Office, and ransacked the desk. The same group reportedly prowled Newton’s home and caused other minor break ins around town.
